Runway end identifier light – or REIL – is a white flashing airfield light that indicates approach end of a runway. REIL is a part of the approach lighting system at airports. REIL provides additional visual guidance for the pilots in low visibility.

Runway Threshold Identification Light

Runway threshold identification light – or RTIL – is another name of REIL light indicated in ICAO documents.
