Mounting for Concrete / Asphalt

Mounting for SP-401 Solar Airfield Light

SP-401 Solar Airfield Lights are equipped with a special mounting set applicable for asphalt and concrete surfaces. The mounting set consists of a solar panel holder and frangible coupling. The height, jet blast resistance and frangibility of the mounting are compliant with international aviation standards.

Body Material Options

  • Marine-Grade Stainless Steel
  • Galvanized Steel

Height Options

  • 50 mm frangible coupling (standard)
  • 100 mm frangible coupling (custom)
  • 150 mm frangible coupling (custom)

Mounting Plate Options

A mounting plate is a part of a mounting that connects the SP-401 Lighting Unit to a frangible coupling. S4GA offers two types of mounting plates.

Type 1 – Permanent (with screws)

The first type of mounting plate requires screwings SP-401 Lighting Unit to the plate with 4 x screws.

Type 2 – Quick Release (no screws)

For applications where there is a need to quickly disassemble the Light from the mounting, S4GA offers the second type of mounting plate. It requires latching the SP-401 Lighting Unit to the plate with two latches. No screws are required in this case.

Single charger for charging SP-401 Airfield Light

S4GA single charger is used for charging 1 x SP-401 airfield light. It usually goes within an S4GA Demo Airfield Lighting Kit. For charging up to 10 x SP-401 Airfield Lights simultaneously, an OCT-401 Charger is used.

UR-6 Wireless Controller for Inset Lights

UR-6 Wireless Controller with Brightness Control is designed to provide remote control over S4GA inset lighting units. Adding UR-6 to the S4GA Inset Light allows the user to remotely control and change the intensity of the inset lights via the Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring System, UR-201 Control & Monitoring Unit, and UR-101 Handheld Controller.

UR-6 Wireless Controller also provides the ability to power S4GA inset lights using a 24 VDC or 110-230 VAC electrical supply.

Taxiway Retro Reflective Marker

S4GA taxiway marker is a retro reflective marker used for marking taxiway and apron edges at airports. Highly visible in all weather conditions, day or night. Reflective markers reduce the “sea of blue” effect experienced by many pilots. It doesn’t require electricity – reflects aircraft landing and wing tip lights. It can be fixed directly into the ground or pavement. Installation and replacement is easy, thanks to self-clamping fixing concept between post and in-ground base.

COMPLIANCE

  • ICAO, Annex 14th, Volume I, 7th Edition dated 2016, clause 5.5.5
  • FAA L-853, AC 150/5345-39
