The Airport Operations OPS SWAP Forum 2026 gave us a great opportunity to connect with airport professionals from across Australia and spend a few days discussing the topics shaping the future of the industry.
Together with our Australian partner, AMS, we joined airport operators, consultants, and aviation specialists in Perth for a series of conversations about infrastructure, operational challenges, and emerging technologies. Events like OPS SWAP are always valuable because they bring together people who work with airports every day and understand the practical realities behind every project and operational decision.
One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to meet so many like-minded professionals who are passionate about aviation and airport operations. Sustainability, energy independence, maintenance requirements, and long-term planning were recurring themes across many discussions.
Solar airfield lighting was naturally a major topic at our booth. We spoke with visitors about how solar AGL is being used around the world, the factors that influence project feasibility, and how different airports approach the transition from conventional systems to solar-powered alternatives.
The conversations were not only about technology. They were also about understanding the unique challenges faced by regional, remote, and larger airports throughout Australia and the broader Pacific region.
As the aviation industry continues to explore new approaches to infrastructure and operations, events such as OPS SWAP play an important role in bringing people together to exchange knowledge and experiences.
We are grateful to AMS for their support throughout the event and look forward to continuing conversations with the many professionals we met in Perth.
Thank you to everyone who made the event such an enjoyable and productive experience. We look forward to seeing you again at future industry gatherings.
